West Hollywood Children’s Academy offers an “OPEN DOOR POLICY’. Parents of enrolled children can stop by anytime to check on their child.
We use BrightWheel App for communication with parents. Parents receive pictures, full daily reports, and special notes through Brightwheel. We publish monthly newsletters. Parents may also call or e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org during the day. We return calls as soon as possible.
*COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS: Learn about our updated health and safety practices in response to the pandemic.
A predictable routine helps children develop a sense of competence and involvement in their world.
If it is necessary at any time during the year to arrive later in the morning or pick up earlier, we ask parents to let us know in advance.
Children must be signed in and out each day by parents or designated individuals (18 years and older) as required by the State of California’s Department of Social Services. If someone other than the parent will be signing a child in and/or out, we must have written permission on file.
We provide healthy organic meals: daily – morning snack, hot lunch, and afternoon meal included with tuition. We use organic, whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables. We offer vegan and vegetarian options. Filtered water is available for children any time at the school. Children have the same food unless the child is allergic or follows a special diet. If it is the case, you need to send lunch box for your child your child’s full name on it. We have a refrigerator that accommodates lunches brought from home and a microwave oven if food needs to be heated. Any food allergies MUST be communicated in writing and marked on your child Health Form.
Children in the program have a rest time after lunch. Children sleep on preschool bed cots. Each bed cot is labeled. We provide size appropriate bedding. The bedding is laundered on a weekly basis.
